TERMS & CONDITIONS 2025
This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions under which THINKER JOY – (TJ) offers services. The rules are designed to promote stability, assist forward planning and the proper resourcing of the centre. Nothing within these terms and conditions affects the parent / TJ’s statutory rights. ADMISSION for January intake, orientation week is made compulsory for a new student. Other intake can join a FREE TRIAL CLASS. Children will be considered for entry to the centre when the registration form has been completed and returned to us with a copy of birth certificate, copy of parents’ IC, copy of vaccine record and TJ’s Terms & Conditions.
OPERATION HOUR :
Monday – Friday : 7.30am-6.30pm
Saturday : CLOSED
PUBLIC HOLIDAY : CLOSED
SCHOOL HOLIDAY: CLOSED (subject to changes)
Parents can take the child to the centre as early as 7.30 am, however the class will start at 8.30 am every day. Please take note that TJ will close for minimum 3 days for the purpose of staffs training. The date will be informed later.
FEES PAYMENT :
All fees are payable in advance. Payment of tuition fee (yearly) must be made before the semester starts. For the tuition fee, monthly installment is available. Monthly installments must be paid accordingly to the agreement. Parents, who withdraw the child from TJ, shall still be bound by any regulations relating to payments and sufficient notice of termination of schooling. All fees paid are non refundable and non transferable. Compensation are also not given for illness or extended absences due to family matters or school holidays.
Tuition Fee is semester basis (11 times installment from Jan-Nov). The semester depends on KEMENTERIAN PENDIDIKAN MALAYSIA’s taqwim for 2025’s school session. All fees paid are non refundable and non transferable. No refunds will be granted once the class has started.
WITHDRAWAL :
Parent may discontinue the child’s schooling of one complete semester (Jan –June) by giving a written notice to thinkerjoy.edu@gmail.com.my minimum 14 days before the following semester starts. For notice to be effective, all payments due must have been paid in full.
OTHER CHARGES :
Different charges will be charged for other activities as below. Parents will be notified before the program. Orientation week for new child Time: 9.00 am – 11.00am RM50.00 (COMPULSORY FOR NEW CHILD AGED 4-6 YEARS OLD). For the benefit of your child to adapt to the new environment, orientation period is compulsory. Educational Trip/Visit/Events (RM55.00 – RM200.00) Per Trip. OPTIONAL / OPEN FOR ALL.
OVERTIME CHARGES
Please pick up your child immediately after the program ends. We allow 30 minutes for pick up times after which over time (OT) will be charged. The charge is RM 10.00 per hour. Please ensure that the child will be picked up latest by 5.30 pm, to allow the crews to have enough time for the next day’s preparation.
HOMEWORK POLICY :
We recognize the importance of homework as an exposure on child’s learning opportunity. We see homework as an effective way of reinforcing and enriching what is learned in the classroom and helping our children develop life-long learning patterns.
CHILDREN’S HEALTH :
Children who are ill especially with infectious diseases are not advised to come to centre and need to stay at home for rest. If the child becomes ill in school, parents will be notified immediately and will need to pick up the child. If your child needs to take medication while attending class, please inform the teachers. Containers must be clearly marked and dosage instructions clearly written and signed by the parent on the TJ Communication Book. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE MEDICINE IN YOUR CHILD’S BAG. All injuries, parent will be notified and asked to acknowledge the incident. Every precaution will be taken to avoid accidents, but it must be remembered that children do receive knocks and bumps during play and physical development. Parents/guardians are required to notify the teachers if your child is absent because of sickness.
CELEBRATION :
Birthday Parties can be celebrated at the school by providing healthy snacks for the children. Parents need to provide all supplies for the celebration. We also welcome any kind of entertainment that parents might want to provide for the children such as clown, etc. Sweet & candies, though allowed, are not encouraged.
COMMUNICATION BOOK :
Each class will have a group whatsapp. It will be used to convey info, latest memo, meal plan as well as daily lesson update. Parents are free to ask, respond or give comment and suggestions. However, please be reminded, use proper language and parents are not allowed to promote any products or non-related to your child’s studies.
SECURITY :
Other than the parents, only the person whose name that is written in the registration form will be allowed to pick up the children. Parents are obligated to inform the teachers on any changes.
CLOTHES & BELONGING :
Strictly put on our uniform. Uniform formal is compulsory for all students on Monday to Thursday while Uniform informal is compulsory on Friday only. However, parents are encourage to provide extra clothing for any emergency changing. Teachers will help with the face, hands and feets cleaning and changing if necessary.
All clothing and belonging should be CLEARLY MARKED with your child’s name. If your child wishes to bring any toys, TABLET, DVD etc, you must remember that it is at your own risk.
ACCIDENT :
As an education service provider, TJ will be responsible to ensure a positive and safe learning environment for the children. However, TJ shall not be liable or be responsible for any accident or personal injury sustained or suffered by the child or the child’s death or for any damage or loss to the child’s personal belongings, whilst the child is in the centre, or being conveyed or is waiting to be conveyed to, or from the centre. Therefore, parents are advised to have own insurance for the child.
EMERGENCY RELEASE :
In the event of an emergency at TJ e.g. accident, we will contact parents as soon as possible. However, if emergency treatment is needed and we cannot contact the parents, parents should agree to allow the Manager or her representative to arrange emergency medical treatment.
CHILD’S VACCINATION RECORD :
Vaccination is one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective means of saving lives. Parents should consider these vaccinations as an investment in their children’s health. It should not be taken for granted because vaccination is not just about protecting an individual child; it is about protecting the community against infectious diseases.
FEEDBACK & SUGGESTION :
If you have any concerns or complaints, we have a company policy within the centre. We would ask that you express your concern to the TJ Management either verbally or in writing. Management will make details of the complaint, recommendations and the actions taken. All of the details of the complaint will be recorded. Once action has been taken, a response will be made to the plaintiff directly.
